Am I supposed to believe that Peter Matrix-dodged his way out of being shot? Officer Armstrong wasn’t far from Peter, and yet Peter manages to move so far out of the way of the bullet that it hits Brandon, who is trying to tackle him from behind. Also, the way Brandon was acting – from not being able to breathe to being knocked physically back – made it seem like he’s actually been shot and not just grazed by the bullet.
Starling gets credit for mentioning the loudness of the gunshot, then ruins the effect when Brandon can still hear everything perfectly. But I think my biggest question is…What happened to Officer Armstrong? He tries to shoot Peter, misses, then somehow Peter gets past him and gets to Shane. Armstrong’s not mentioned at all after that, conveniently giving Brandon time to save the day. I mean, Peter was in handcuffs. How did he get passed an armed police officer, grab Shane, and choke him unconscious?
